New free bus service being tested in several communities in Kawartha Lakes

The Kawartha Lakes Rural Transportation Working Group has announced the trial of a free, public bus to enable local residents to shop and enjoy their communities during the week.

And working group co-chair Mike Perry sees it as a perfect example of community partners taking on the challenge of rural transit.

The new service, which is being run on a trial basis, is a complimentary, no fare, hop on/hop off bust that will make stops in Little Britain, Lindsay, Cambray, Cameron, Fenelon Falls and Rosedale. It is provided by Dromoland, owners of the Town Trolley and features professional drivers. The bus is fully insured, accessible and the service is volunteer-led.
