Peterborough, Kawartha Lakes and Northumberland health units move toward end of February merger decision

Efforts to investigate a merger between local health units continue to move forward.

The possible merger between the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit and Peterborough Public Health is part of funding announced by the Ministry of Health in August designed to support boards in merging voluntarily. Mergers would need to be in place by Jan. 1, 2025.
