Changes to Kawartha Lakes groups aims to increase transparency, streamline awards process

Municipal groups may no longer be able to create working groups and subcommittees, should council formally adopt changes to the terms of reference.

During Tuesday’s committee of the whole meeting, Kawartha Lakes Mayor Doug Elmslie presented a motion to update terms of reference language and rescind the establishment of working groups or subcommittees, and the holding of working meetings, from the mandate of committees, boards and task forces.
